Friendli Child Safety Standards
Last updated: September 16, 2025
Zero-tolerance policy
Friendli has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any exploitation, grooming, or sexualization of minors. Such content and behavior are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account action and reports to the appropriate authorities.
Age requirement (18+)
Friendli is for adults only. Users must be 18 years or older to create an account.
We gate accounts with a date-of-birth check at sign-up.
If we reasonably suspect an account belongs to someone under 18, we restrict or remove the account and review.
Prohibited content & conduct
The following are not allowed on Friendli (examples, not an exhaustive list):
CSAM of any kind, including imagery, text, links, or directions for obtaining it.
Sexualization of minors (e.g., fetishizing youth, age-play presented as under-18, or sexualized depictions of minors).
Grooming, solicitations, sextortion, or attempts to move conversations off-platform to exploit a minor.
Impersonation of, or posing as, a minor.
Any content that depicts or encourages abuse, trafficking, or exploitation of children.
Prevention & moderation measures
Access controls: age gate at sign-up; checks during profile edits.
User tools: in-app Report, Block, and Mute on profiles, events, and messages.
Review: prioritized moderation of child-safety reports; swift removal of violating content.
Education: clear rules in our policies and reminders in relevant features.
Enforcement: preservation of evidence where legally required, account restrictions/termination, and notification to authorities when appropriate.
How to report
Use the in-app Report option on any profile, message, or event. You can also email us:
Child safety contact: hello@friendlisocial.com
When reporting, include links, usernames, screenshots, and timestamps if possible. We review child-safety reports with priority.
What we do when a report is received
Triage & restrict: we may limit account features or remove content while investigating.
Review: we assess the report against these standards.
Action: we remove content, restrict or terminate accounts, and where required, report to the relevant authorities and cooperate with lawful requests.
Preservation: we may preserve content and related logs as permitted or required by law to support investigations.
Data handling
We handle child-safety reports confidentially and in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. We retain report information only as long as necessary for safety, legal, or compliance reasons.
Law-enforcement cooperation
We cooperate with lawful requests from relevant authorities and will make mandated reports to appropriate national or regional reporting bodies where required by law.
Updates
We may update these standards from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
